Xinhua Finance and Economic Data Base Launched in Jianye District, Nanjing

Nanjing, China - The "Xinhua Finance and Economic Data Base" (hereinafter referred to as the "Base"), a national financial information platform, was officially inaugurated in Jianye District on March 28, 2025. This significant initiative is backed by the National Development and Reform Commission and operated by China Economic Information Service (CEIS), a subsidiary of Xinhua News Agency.

The Base aims to integrate comprehensive resources from government affairs, industry, and finance to stimulate the circulation of factors and deepen the application of scenarios. It will construct a secure and controllable data foundation to systematically enhance the region's ability to gather and apply financial data, strengthen research, decision-making, and resource linking capabilities, and promote the local industrial brand. This aligns with supporting the implementation of major national strategies.

The establishment of the Base in Jianye District marks a pivotal step in the global layout of Xinhua Finance. CEIS intends to create a "data highland" for the national financial information platform, focusing on data elements to integrate resources across various domains and build a secure data base. This initiative will provide a "Jianye solution" for the construction of a modern financial system with Chinese characteristics.

The Base will use Jianye District as a blueprint to create a "model room" for financial data innovation, offering replicable and promotable practical experiences for high-quality development in the national financial data field. Key focuses include:

1. Building a Regional Information Release and Collection System: The Base will concentrate on financial policies, industry dynamics, and high-quality cases in the Yangtze River Delta region. It will develop the "Jinyuzui Release Column" into a regional information release platform, forming a "weathervane" for financial policy information in the Yangtze River Delta. A national financial data development index will be released in Jianye District, constructing a four-dimensional coordinate system of "production quality - circulation efficiency - application value - innovation transformation" to create a "digital compass" for high-quality industrial development. This will precisely monitor the marketization process of financial data elements, establish industry standards, and feed back into institutional innovation.

2. Fully Linking with Financial Business Scenarios: Relying on Xinhua Finance's professional terminal products, the Base will continuously explore the value of information, optimize product forms, and improve interaction experiences to provide Jianye District's financial institutions with more efficient financial information acquisition and analysis application tools.

3. Gathering High-Quality Data and Technical Resources: The Base will integrate data resources within Jianye District, merging government affairs, industry, and public welfare data to create the strongest and safest financial database in the Yangtze River Delta. It will achieve "one lake stores data, the whole region uses value." Simultaneously, it will rely on the national financial information platform to integrate resources from marketized data suppliers in the region, establishing an efficient and convenient data circulation mechanism to facilitate financial data information sharing within the region.

4. Keeping Up with Technical Development Trends: The Base actively embraces AI technology, fully implementing the deployment of large models and the development of intelligent applications. Using artificial intelligence as a new driving force and engine, it will innovate and build digital application scenarios based on the actual needs of Jianye District's financial institutions. This will help users obtain more personalized, refined, and convenient services in their daily work. The Base will also integrate multi-dimensional data to create the "Yangtze River Delta Financial Dynamics Monitoring Big Screen," achieving "one screen to overview the economic pulse of the whole region."

5. Linking with High-Quality Industry Resources: Starting from 2025, the Base plans to hold the "Jinyuzui Forum" annually in conjunction with top global institutions, focusing on issues such as data asset accounting and cross-border circulation, to create a national-level event in the field of financial data.

After the Base starts construction, it will accelerate the integration into Jianye District's "finance + data" industrial ecosystem, explore the pain points of key financial institutions in the region, strengthen the empowerment of the national financial information platform, explore new applications and products of financial data, and initially form a scale of data services in Jianye by the end of this year. By 2026, it aims to build a "data + technology + scenario" full-chain ecosystem, radiating the entire Yangtze River Delta region, promoting a leap in the scale of regional data factor services, and becoming a national-level financial data innovation demonstration zone.
