Running into 2022: Impressive Urban Development Actions in Jiangning High-tech Zone
Jiangning High-tech Zone in Nanjing has witnessed remarkable urban development actions in 2022, leaving a lasting impression on residents and visitors alike. From land allocation to major project constructions and the revitalization of public spaces, the city has been actively implementing its urban development plans.
The orderly progress of land allocation has been a highlight, with two plots successfully allocated in 2022. The G28 plot reached a staggering 2.7 billion yuan through lottery, while the G67 plot in Shazhou Residential Park achieved a remarkable 5.47 billion yuan, with an 8.8% premium. The landscape and ambiance of the park's roads have also received a major upgrade, with the completion of 37 plant landscapes along Xicheng Road, greening projects in the southern area, and a 4-kilometer-long "Jianye Tide" themed wall painting along Xicheng Road.
Two remarkable platform constructions have been accomplished: the completion of an intensive and visualized platform in the high-tech zone, achieving 100% coverage of the park's safety assessment, and the exploration of constructing a digital twin city map for Jiangning High-tech Zone, promoting comprehensive digital development in the city.
Looking ahead to 2023, what are the plans for park planning and construction?
During the "Listening and Gathering Strength" council meeting and the dedicated discussion on park urban development, numerous valuable suggestions were put forward by enterprise partners. The 5th Global Fintech Entrepreneurship Competition Nanjing Regional Competition was held on March 15th in Jiangning High-tech Zone
Since its launch at the fifth World Internet Conference in Wuzhen in 2018, the Global Fintech Entrepreneurship Competition has successfully held four sessions, attracting more than a thousand project applications, providing in-depth services to over 300 startup projects, and connecting with more than 100 financial and investment institutions. On March 19th, the "2023 Black Horse Industry Conference" was held in Beijing. The incubation park has a total of 7 floors with a total area of approximately 14,000 square meters. Recently, the final round of the 8th China International "Internet Plus" College Student Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition came to a close. The "Light and Shadow Transition - Pioneer of Billion-pixel Infrared Intelligent Computing Imaging" project by Wang Bowen's team from Nanjing Yixiang Optoelectronics Technology Co., Ltd., a startup incubated by the Intelligent Computing Imaging Research Institute of Nanjing University of Science and Technology in Jianye High-tech Zone, won the championship out of 3.4 million projects worldwide.

The "Light and Shadow Transition" project is the world's first ultra-high-definition infrared thermal imager that applies computational imaging principles. Its detection system mainly has two core advantages:

Building Innovation and Success: JIANYE District Hosts 3rd Youth Entrepreneurship Competition
The final and award ceremony of the 3rd JIANYE District Youth Entrepreneurship Competition, themed "Creating in JIANYE, Winning in the Future," concluded successfully at the Jinyuzui Fund Building on June 13.
After intense competition, the "Intelligent Water Doctor - Safeguarding People's Drinking Water Health" project and the "Safety Guardian - 5G and Beidou-based Visual Emergency Command System for Railway Operations" project were awarded the first prize.
The competition, which lasted for over four months, garnered attention and support from various sectors of society. Participating teams came from renowned domestic and international institutions such as the University of Cambridge, Tsinghua University, and Nanjing University. The number of project applications increased by approximately 37% compared to previous years, with a noticeable rise in the proportion of project leaders holding postgraduate degrees. The entrepreneurial field expanded further, covering areas such as artificial intelligence, future networks, and new finance.

The competition created a vibrant atmosphere for innovation and entrepreneurship and promoted the establishment of the "Creating in JIANYE, Winning in the Future" brand for innovation and entrepreneurship in JIANYE District. A total of 10 innovative projects reached signing intentions and will be implemented in JIANYE District. The top 14 projects selected from the final round will advance to participate in the 11th "Winning in Nanjing" Youth Entrepreneurship Competition.
JIANYE District has consistently implemented the "Purple Mountain Talent Gathering Plan" and empowered youth entrepreneurship projects through various supportive policies, including the "012 Science and Technology Innovation Forest Growth Plan" and the "JIANYE Eight Measures for Entrepreneurship." Additionally, the district has launched the "Golden Scale Roadshow" service brand, providing targeted services for youth innovation and entrepreneurship. This initiative offers opportunities for excellent youth entrepreneurial projects, investment and financing institutions, angel investors, and entrepreneurial mentors to engage in work exchanges and capital connections, aiming to create a vibrant incubation ecosystem.
