 The 2022 China-Israel (Nanjing) Tech Promotion and Commercialization Forum was successfully concluded on September 19, under the guidance Nanjing Science and Technology Bureau and Nanjing Science and Technology Association, hosted by the Nanjing Jiangning Development Zone High-tech Industrial Park Management Office. Organized by Nanjing Overseas Collaborative Innovation Center and Messe Nanjing.

Both Chinese and Israeli companies have expressed their expectations for further in-depth exchanges and cooperation between the two sides.

Avi Luvton, Executive Director, International Collaboration Division, Israel Innovation Authority, said that the event provided a platform for Israeli companies to showcase, and it was an opportunity for Israel to open up the Chinese market and deepen China-Israeli cooperation, and it was also an important opportunity for Nanjing to promote international development.

This event was carried out in the form of a combination of "online + onsite". The forum was well received by online Chinese and foreign delegates and audiences. The cumulative number of live stream viewers exceeded 13,000. The 2022 World Intelligent Connected Vehicle Conference and China International New Energy and Intelligent Connected Vehicle Exhibition was grandly opened on September 16 at the China International Exhibition Center (Shunyi Pavilion). The exhibition plans to set up 12 professional exhibition areas and special areas with a scale of over 40,000 square meters. The exhibits cover the upstream and downstream technologies and products of the entire industrial chain of intelligent networked vehicles.

Nanjing Overseas Collaborative Innovation Center (Stuttgart, Germany) led the German pavilion to participate in the exhibition. The exhibition has a special exhibition area of "50 years of Sino-German cooperation in the new energy and intelligent vehicle industry", which attracts Mercedes-Benz, BMW, German Cary, German CIMK, Rosenberg, Hannam High-tech, Yujin Technology, Yin A large number of well-known international enterprises such as Wandi participated in the exhibition. The Nanjing Tech Week 2021 opened in the capital city of Jiangsu Province on June 21, attracting experts, top scientists and executives of leading enterprises and investment institutions from around the world.

Under the theme of “City Innovation in the New Development Paradigm”, the event is expected to pool ideas and resources for the accelerated transformation of Nanjing into a world-class hub of innovation.

Nanjing has made progress in building technical self-reliance as many companies have followed the call to step up innovation and boost quality and efficiency. The event unveiled a number of development initiatives and vehicles, such as the China Technology Innovation Centre for Third-generation Semiconductors (Nanjing) and urban satellite network system. The city has made it clear to strengthen innovation capacity and play a more prominent role in the future development.

As Russia is the guest country of honor this year, the event announced a joint initiative between the city government and Russian universities and institutes. On June 25th, the representative office of Baden-Württemberg, Germany, the Electric Vehicle Co., Ltd. of Baden-Württemberg, Germany (e-mobilBW), Vidima Business Consulting (Beijing) Co., Ltd. Shanghai Branch, Germany Co-organized by Messe Stuttgart, supported by China Hydrogen Energy Industry Technology Innovation and Application Alliance, PGO Hydrogen Energy and Fuel Cell Industry Research Institute, Netherlands Hydrogen Energy Industry Alliance, and organized by Nanjing Stuttgart Joint Exhibition Co., Ltd., the International Hydrogen Energy Technology Industrialization Forum was held in Nanjing Airport held at the International Expo Center. This forum is a concurrent event of the 34th World Electric Vehicle Conference (EVS34). Messe Stuttgart, as the organizer of EVS30 in 2017, joined hands with international hydrogen energy industry giants to bring this industry event to Nanjing.

Countries across the world are seeking for a sustainable, cost-effective and easily applied source of energy. It is important to come up with solutions that help reduce greenhouse gas emissions and are technologically feasible - hydrogen could definitely be the answer.

This event invited distinguished guests from the hydrogen energy industry to discuss the development trend of hydrogen energy. Speakers from China, Germany, the Netherlands shared their unique insights on hydrogen energy and hydrogen fuel cells. The event features a panel discussion session, Chinese and foreign guests reviewed the industrial development and application of hydrogen energy technology, shared technologies and solutions, made a joint effort to unlock hydrogen potential.

  The 2021 China-Germany Hydrogen Energy Industry Online Matchmaking hosted by Nanjing Overseas Collaborative Innovation Center (Stuttgart) and Nanjing Stuttgart United Exhibition Co., Ltd. was launched on September 3. This event lasted for a week, and all the matchmaking has been completed.

The participating Chinese companies are all important enterprises in the fields of automobile manufacturing, hydrogen energy, hydrogen storage, chemical industry and academia. The German company participating in the meeting is CIKONI Engineering Company. CIKONI is an engineering company located in Stuttgart, Germany, specializing in the manufacture of hydrogen storage equipment, especially the 3 and 4 pressure vessels. Committed to innovative lightweight and fiber composite solutions, CIKONI develops for customers lightweight engineered products made of fiber-reinforced high-performance composite materials such as carbon-carbon fiber. CIKONI uses state-of-the-art software tools, future-proof simulation methods, and composite-specific FEA methods such as strength, stiffness, and collision for the detailed design of structural components. Leverage in-depth simulation knowledge, an extensive network of certification and testing partners, and use strong prototyping capabilities to provide customers with the most economical, highest-strength pressure vessels.

The Sino-German negotiation has produced very good results, and both Chinese and German companies have expressed their expectation for cooperation with each other. Guests from both sides also expressed their expectations for offline inspections and visits when the epidemic eases in the future. Chinese companies are very interested in the technology of additive manufacturing of CIKONI hydrogen storage tanks. After this docking, the two sides also plan the next docking, and the two sides plan to discuss technology and cooperation in more detail in future exchanges.

China is currently developing rapidly in terms of hydrogen energy technology, and urgently needs to open up the international market and absorb the experience and technology of high-quality hydrogen energy companies in the world. However, as the first step of industrial progress, China still needs to formulate standards and norms in terms of hydrogen energy infrastructure and energy application. The connection between China and Germany this time not only promotes the cooperation between the two companies in the fields of business and technology, but also learns from the experience of European countries. While standardizing and making progress, the two sides carry out further cooperation to develop hydrogen energy in China. The international market of the industry also helps German, future and even European companies to land in the fertile soil of China.

Field of cooperation: Hydrogen fuel cell vehicle, including research on hydrogen leakage prevention & control and safety specification in the public scene, research on hydrogen quality online monitoring and infrastructure efficient operation research, research on hydrogen fuel cell vehicle carbon emission reduction potential.

Total planned supportive funds: 20 million yuan.

Other requirements:

(1) To encourage the integration of production, education and research, the China-Germany cooperation project adopts the "2+2" cooperation model which means that the China side and the German side will each own at least one scientific research institution and one enterprise. In principle, the enterprise should provide supporting funding equal to the amount of government funding.

(2) China-Germany cooperation entities should sign the agreement or letter of intent or other project cooperation documents within the validity period, and the participating entities of both parties should clarify their contribution, division of labor, and intellectual property distribution regarding cooperative research and development.

(3) Both parties to the project cooperation shall submit the application materials to the project solicitation department of their respective countries, and the unilateral application of the project is invalid.

(4) The project implementation period is 2 to 3 years.

To further promote Jiangsu’s openness in innovation, the 7th China Jiangsu Conference for International Technology Transfer and Commercialization (CITTC) will be held with the theme “Networking Online, Partnership for Innovation”, in Nanjing from November 11 to November 13, 2020.

On October 23, 58 Group, one of the largest information service providers in China, best known for its job market service, officially launches its East China Headquarter project in Jianye District. 

The new HQ gathers a group of Internet life service companies incubated and invested in the company and builds 58 Internet life service industry clusters.  It is an important force in the economic development of Jianye District. 

The new HQ is attracting many foreign companies related to the Internet and big data, it is also attracting more Internet life service venture capital. 58 Group East China Headquarters is playing a leading role in big data, artificial intelligence, block-chain and other industries.

2020 Culture & Technology Integration Exhibition Achievement Fair (CTI) was successfully held at Nanjing International Exhibition Center (Xinzhuang) on October 23, 2020.

At this year's CTI, many cutting-edge technologies including AI technology, the Internet of Things, robotic technology were introduced. Three companies including Yangtze Evening News Cloud Education, StarrySky, and Huxi Technology in the Jianye District Joint Zone jointly created a future intelligent era urban space based on the theme of "Splendid Jianye with no boundaries in the future". 

Jianye District demonstrated holographic imaging technology, facial recognition technology, AI technology at the fair. This helped promote Jianye's high-tech-oriented industry.

On October 17, Jiangsu Environmental Protection Group and Nanjing Jianye District signed a cooperation agreement in which a new environmental protection industrial park will be established in Jianye District.

At present, Jianye is in a critical period of building a top-notch international city center. It is particularly urgent to deal with ecological and environmental problems, accelerate infrastructure construction, and improve environmental governance.

Jianye will fully utilize the resource advantages provided by the Jiangsu Environmental Protection Group and continue to expand the scale of the industry, optimize the carrier platform. 

The transformation will make Jiangsu Environmental Protection Group Industrial Park the first-class park with an annual output value of more than 10 billion yuan. This will not only facilitate environmental improvement but will also thrust local economic development.
