- Nanjing, as the capital of Jiangsu Province, is its main driving force in terms of sustainable development and innovation. Jiangsu is China’s most prosperous province per capita with Shanghai lying at its easternmost tip.
- The vitality of Nanjing is embodied in Jianye Central Business, Exhibition and Olympic District. With China’s most important banks, international exhibitions and sports events taking place in this impressive architectural yet environmentally friendly setting, Jianye district is a hotbed for entrepreneurs and investors. Chinese corporate heavyweights such as Alibaba and Xiaomi have chosen this district to head their provincial operations confirming its dynamic innovative ecosystem.
- In its desire to internationalise and reach out to foreign stakeholders, The People's Government of Jianye District, with the approval of the Nanjing Municipal People's Government, established the “Nanjing Overseas Cooperation Innovation Center” in Stuttgart in May 22nd, 2019.
- The purpose of the center is to promote sustainable city to city cooperation and support regional innovation by acting as a contact and promotional point in Stuttgart for German and European companies that are pursuing a “China Strategy” i.e. wishing to engage with China, either as a target market, sourcing base, for partnerships or for other collaboration purposes.
- The cooperation scope is broad and includes, Government to Government interaction, University and educational projects, business, entrepreneurial, technological and scientific exchange initiatives.
- The operating team of the Nanjing Overseas Collaborative Innovation Center in Stuttgart is made up of personnel from Messe Stuttgart and its affiliate in China, Messe Nanjing. It welcomes you to share your China Strategy and discuss how to make it a success.
